Project Summary
This course was created to help adult learners build foundational knowledge of Artificial Intelligence and apply it across home, business, and education contexts. Designed to be completed independently, the course offers clear explanations, real-world examples, and practical simulations to prepare learners to confidently use AI in their daily and professional lives.
The design reflects my ability to translate complex concepts into engaging, accessible learning while using research-backed strategies for adult education.
Learning Objectives
By the end of this course, learners will be able to:
Explain what Artificial Intelligence is and how it impacts their everyday life
Identify safe and ethical uses of AI at home, in businesses, and in education
Explore common AI tools (e.g., chatbots, AI writing assistants, and automation software)
Evaluate opportunities for AI integration in their own personal or professional setting
Complete an interactive scenario and reflection for each domain (home, business, education)

Custom icons, banners, and section headers created in Canva
All AI tool examples were designed for no prior experience and chosen for accessibility (e.g., ChatGPT, Canva Magic Write, Otter.ai)
Content is written at an 8th–10th grade reading level for accessibility, while maintaining academic depth

My Role
As the sole designer and developer, I was responsible for:
Conducting research into emerging AI tools across three domains
Writing scenario-based content grounded in real-world examples
Designing each section to be approachable for non-technical users
Creating supporting visuals and accessibility features
Ensuring course alignment with adult learning theory, Bloom’s Taxonomy, and UDL principles
